What to Expect

The Los Angeles firm is responsible for the theatrical trailers of many of the highest-grossing films of the last decade, including Iron Man and Iron Man 2, Star Trek, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, Transformers, and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End. The company’s work for the video game industry includes trailers for Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, Call of Duty: Black Ops, Fallout 3, Guitar Hero, and Epic Mickey. In addition, the Ant Farm creates movie posters, DVD packaging art, television print ads, and other related advertising assets. Capable of taking any advertising campaign from concept to completion, the Ant Farm employs a diverse staff of artists and technicians in the fields of film and video production, digital art, print, web development, sound design, as well as professionals in marketing, finance, accounting, and licensing. Entry-level internships are available in most of these areas, and permanent positions exist for assistant editors, producers’ assistants, production assistants, and advertising music assistants, among others. Applicants must demonstrate experience through appropriate education and/or hands-on training, which should be equivalent to a college degree or at least one year of professional employment in the entertainment or advertising industry. Mid-level and senior employment opportunities include editor, art director, producer, music supervisor, recording engineer, and animator. A bachelor’s degree or at least four years of professional experience in your field of expertise is required.
